My balafon teacher Keba Mane from the Balanta tribe in Gambia, West Africa. This is a traditional Balanta song that he has adapted for guitar. Notice he plays a right handed guitar upside down, strung normally. This video was shot in Kanyi Kunda (my compound during my stay), complete with all of the background commotion that’s inescapable in New Jeshwang.
